Motor Boats from Belgium to Russia
ALS’ operations team in the Netherlands organised the multimodal transport of two high speed motor boats from Antwerp, Belgium to Severodvinsk located on the Russian White Sea.
The 9 Tonne boats were delivered by ALS’ client by truck to the port of Antwerp where ALS took over the logistics operation.
ALS arranged the shipment of the 12,2 metre long, 3.30 metre wide and 3.35 m high pieces on a sea going vessel to Russian port.
The transit time port-to-port was 8 days. After which customs fomalities (transit declaration) needed to be completed to organise a 'customs convoy' for final delivery. This procedure took 3 (three) days. Normally a deposit for such kind of bonded transport has to be made but this could be overcome thanks to excellent agents at destination port.
Following necessary formalities and due to forces of nature (strong winds) immediate discharging was impossible. The cargo was delivered safely to its’ final destination by truck although a little later than anticipated.
