Komatsu – Construction Equipment and Supply Chain

When Komatsu opened a new manufacturing facility in the UK, they asked ALS to help devise a logistics strategy. The brief was defined as the most cost effective way to transport the finished construction equipment from the North East of England to locations throughout Europe, Asia and North Africa. The ALS solution was based on using standard gauge road transport, and the creation of three dedicated management teams covering each stage of the operation.
